AMTeam.org消息：中国最大的搜索引擎公司百度与Intel公司周四表示两家公司已经签署一份合作协议书，已合作开发面对家用个人电脑、手机、笔记本的搜索软件。

该交易的涉及金额没有同时披露，但是两家公司在共同发言中表示，该合作将会把Intel的服务器平台与百度公司的后台搜索系统结合，以优化软件性能和运作稳定性。

Intel服务器平台的核心是Itanium 2 和Xeon处理器，该交易将会使得Intel的品牌与中国最大的搜索引擎共同出现。据网络调研公司Keynote 系统公司表示中国的1亿1千万的网络用户中差不多有一半的人都在使用百度。

Brief: Intel, Baidu To Team On Search Apps

Intel Corp. and Baidu, China's leading Internet search engine, said Thursday they have signed a memorandum of understanding to work together on search applications for handsets, laptops and personal computers in the home.

Financial details were not disclosed, but the deal would combine Santa Clara, Calif.-based, Intel's server platform with Baidu's backend search systems for "optimized performance and operational stability," the companies said in a joint statement.

The core of Intel's server platform is the Itanium 2 processor and the Xeon processor. The deal aligns the chipmaker's brand with the largest search engine in China. Almost half of the 110 million people online in China use Baidu, according to Web metrics firm Keynote Systems.
