Extending your
company through the Web provides you with the competitive edge you need to
survive as a manufacturer in this increasingly global and competitive economy.
The session will discuss how you can support the initiative to streamline your
inbound and outbound business partner processes using Internet-based QAD
applications.
Collaboration with your
business partners on the Internet is not only state-of-the-art, but it can also
be considered a powerful weapon that keeps you ahead of the competition. This
collaboration is dependant upon the right set of functionality and information
you provide, the ease of use of the software and, last but not least, the
careful selection of actual users of these applications-your business partners.
But, how can this be achieved? Why would anyone visit your Web page and do
business there instead of simply calling a customer service representative? What
would entice a supplier to check an Internet screen rather than going directly
to your purchasing department?
It all starts with the right
set applications:
QAD Customer Self Service (CSS): The
Web-based order entry and visibility module that enables global manufacturers to
offer easy to use self-service to their customers and distributors via the
Internet, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
QAD Supply
Visualization (SV): Representing QAD's offering to provide self-service
capabilities on the supplier side. SV promotes collaboration within your supply
chain by providing your authorized suppliers real-time visibility of inventory,
scheduling, kanban and purchasing information over the
Internet.
However, this still leaves a lot of questions open:
What are the right business partners to approach? How do you actually make these
business partners want to use these tools? In this session you will hear answers
to these questions and more about the basic business models, their application
and how to make the implementation
successful.
