Learn how
you can make use of best-in-class data collection and leverage the value of your
MFG/PRO investment. This session will discuss the steps required to define and
implement a solution that will provide MFG/PRO with visibility throughout the
enterprise.
Regardless of the size, the industry or
the goals of an organization, one thing is always true: Enterprise systems
operate at peak effectiveness when the information people are receiving is
real-time, accurate and validated by QAD's own standards.
As
with any enterprise system, MFG/PRO's ability to "see" what is happening across
one site or multiple sites is often subject to time delays in data input and the
errors of manual system input.
That could mean shop floor
employees track the movement of products and enter the information as time
permits or it may mean a delay of 20 minutes up to 24 hours for the input of
information to occur. The information could be accurate; the information may not
be accurate. The result? Whether MFG/PRO is running MRP or looking at the
availability of finished goods, information that is late or inaccurate can
impact everything from regulatory compliance to customer satisfaction to larger
company issues such as profitability.
Canada-based Furlani's
has the challenges of every manufacturer, along with the special needs of a food
company. Lot tracking, regulatory compliance and cross-border issues arising
from the Homeland Security regulations of the US make accuracy and timeliness
essential. In this session, Rod Rego of Furlani's Corporation and Ray Agrusti of
Eagle Consulting and Development will discuss the steps required to define and
implement a solution that will provide MFG/PRO with visibility throughout the
enterprise.
