惠普宣布不改变其发展战略

AMTeam.org消息:在周一举行的技术论坛上,对于惠普的客户和合作伙伴来说好消息就是它不打算对其业务和产品进行大幅改变。

很多分析家所期待已久的关于惠普公司新发展方向的“重要宣言”,由惠普的执行副总裁Ann Livermore周一在奥兰多举行的论坛上宣布了。她表示“下面是重要宣言,但是却不是大家所期待的那个;我们不打算对公司进行重大改变,我们对公司现在战略很满意”。

Livermore在其发言中一再重申,自从公司三月份聘请马克·赫德担任公司的总裁和首席执行官之后,已经完成了转变,目前公司并不打算对其业务作出重大调整,也没有任何改变现有业务和产品线的计划。

惠普公司机会继续利用公司的资源加强公司在IT执行方面面临的问题:巩固、控制、协作、服从和持续。

她最后表示:“我们的目标是成为你管理和改革IT部门时所能拥有的最佳IT伙伴。”

HP Renews Pledge To Evolve, Not Change


The good news for customers and partners happy with their current relationship with Hewlett-Packard came early at its inaugural Technology Forum on Monday; there will be no major changes forthcoming in its business or products.

Ann Livermore, executive VP of HP's Technology Solutions Group, acknowledged at the opening keynote for the forum being held in Orlando this week that many analysts have been waiting for a "big announcement" detailing a new direction for the company.

"Well, here is the big announcement, there isn't going to be one," Livermore said. "We're not going to make any fundamental shift in HP. We're happy with our current strategy."

Livermore's statement reiterated the message that HP has been delivering since the company hired Mark Hurd as its new president and chief executive in March, that the company plans no significant shake-up of its business. There will be no spin-offs or jettisoning of existing business initiatives or product lines.

HP will continue to leverage its existing resources to address five critical "pain points" facing IT executives, she said – consolidation, control, collaboration, compliance, and continuity.

"Our goal is to be the best IT partner you can possibly have to manage and also transform your IT department," she said.
