Recently, SAP announced that it will be linking up with a number of e-business solution providers to deliver the mySAP.com? online ERP solution. The e-business solution providers in the mySAP.com partner network include hardware providers IBM, Hewlett-Packard, and Sun Microsystems, consultants Andersen Consulting and Deloitte and Touche, and web integrators Razorfish and AnswerThink Consulting Group. This partner network will work with SAP to deliver mySAP.com solutions based on the SAP? R/3? platform and hosted over the Internet.

What is mySAP.com?

It's a package of software components and services created by SAP and its partners that enables companies to carry out seamless e-business transactions over the Internet.

mySAP.com is comprised of

• software applications - including the R/3 system, supply chain management, customer relationship management, business-to-business procurement, and mySAP.com Workplace (a portal interface to SAP applications)

• online marketplaces - a mySAP.com Marketplace is a business-to-business exchange for specific industries, for example petroleum, healthcare, oil and gas, and other vertical industries

• hosted applications - SAP applications hosted by application service providers

The mySAP.com solution aims to provide the infrastructure, applications, and security to enable you to carry out business transactions in one step.

What is a mySAP.com partner?

SAP is currently looking for partners to assist them in the development of mySAP.com. A mySAP.com partner is a business or organization that is involved in the creation and/or delivery of content, goods, services, and applications to be hosted on mySAP.com.

SAP is especially interested in partners who can assist them with

• content development

• portal hosting

• application hosting

• enabling technologies

• implementation

SAP have estimated that joining the mySAP.com partner network will expose the partner to the enormous SAP community of 20,000 installations comprising ten million users.

You can apply to become a mySAP.com partner by contacting SAP directly or by filling out the partner questionnaire on the mySAP.com website. SAP plans to expand the mySAP.com partner network to include development partners and mySAP.com Marketplace partners.
